オリンピックの主会場となる国立競技場のコンペ当選設計案について、日本の建築家たちがいろいろと異義を唱えている。
これに対して、その当選者の建築家ザハ・ハディドからの反論が、あるウェブサイトに載っている。

彼女がこれまでにも反論してたのかどうか知らないが、わたしははじめて読んだ。
このサイトがどういう素性か知らないし、インタビューに答えた発言の一部らしいから、どの程度これを信用してよいかわからないが、わたしのミーハー感覚としては面白かった。
ここに、その記事の中の彼女の発言部分と、わたしの駄訳を載せておく。
なんだか次元の低い反論になってしまったなあ。

「こういっちゃなんだけどさ、あの人たち恥ずかしくないのかしら。
たしかにご自分の街のことよね、だからって、すっかり良い子ぶっちゃって。
要するにガイジンに国立なる競技場をやらせるのが嫌なんでしょ。
そのくせ、妹島だって伊東だって槙だって磯崎だって隈だって、
みんな外国で仕事してるんだもんねえ。
ま、コンペに負けたってことが癪なんでしょ。
あそこんところに国立競技場をつくるのに反対なら、
なんでコンペに応募したのよ、するべきじゃないわよ。
あの人たちにはわたしの友人たちもいるのよ、
中でも伊東はロンドンのプロジェクトを手伝ってからこっち、
ずーっと知ってる仲だから悲しいなあ。
どうするかなあ、知らない間にあれこれ言われつづけてる。さ～て、、」
伊東みたいに落選してから文句つけると、こう言われちゃうよなあ。
